01 / UNDERSTAND THE PROJECT
What is AnyPS5?
A tool for bringing PS5 executables to a PC’s native format.
AnyPS5 combines a relinker, which converts an executable, with host implementations of PS5 system libraries. Its graphics work includes recompiling shaders to SPIR-V for Vulkan.
The project describes this approach as running without a separate emulator process. A converted file still needs the right libraries, game resources, and working implementations of the features it uses.

Explore the source
Project overview, source code, development activity, and links to upstream documentation.
Find release downloads
Read release notes and inspect the attached files. Match the relinker and libraries to your target platform.
Read the usage guide
Input requirements, command options, runtime folders, and documented troubleshooting details.
Source code and release attachments are different. “Code → Download ZIP” downloads the repository source. Check a release’s Assets section for its provided files. Documentation on main may describe changes newer than a release.
03 / BEFORE YOUR FIRST RUN
How to get started with AnyPS5.
A map of the process.
Use the upstream guide for version-specific instructions.
Prepare your input
Start with a clean ELF executable, its required bundled modules, and game data you are entitled to use. Follow the documented input directory layout.
Match your components
Choose the relinker and host system libraries for your target OS and build. Confirm the instructions apply to that version.
Convert the executable
Use the documented options for your target format. Selecting Windows requires its option; changing a filename to
.exeis not enough.Prepare the runtime
Put the matching host libraries and application resources in their documented locations. If launch fails, record your build, platform, and first error.
A successful conversion isn’t a playability result.
Missing functions or unsupported graphics behavior can still stop a game.
04 / WHAT HAS BEEN DOCUMENTED
Keep expectations grounded.
The upstream compatibility table currently lists one game. This is a record of the results it reports, not an independent test by this site.
Dreaming Sarah
PPSA02929| Reported hardware | Reported FPS |
|---|---|
| GTX 1050 Ti / i5-7500 3.4GHz | 60 FPS |
| Intel(R) HD Graphic 620 / i5-7200 2.5GHz | 36 FPS |
Hardware names follow the source. These results apply to the listed configurations; the table does not specify a test build or establish minimum requirements.
A discussion, pull request, or progress percentage does not establish that a game is playable. Look for a test result with its platform, build, hardware, and limitations.
05 / A FEW THINGS TO KNOW
Good questions.
Clear answers.
The essentials before you download, build, or troubleshoot.
Explore the sourcesWhat is AnyPS5?
AnyPS5 is an open-source project for automatically porting PS5 executables to host formats. It combines an executable relinker with implementations of system libraries. See the upstream project overview for its architecture and current status.
Where is the original AnyPS5 GitHub repository?
The original repository is github.com/boykopovar/AnyPS5. Check the repository owner as well as its name. This website is an independent guide, not the project’s official website.
Where can I download AnyPS5?
Visit the original repository’s Releases page and check the files under Assets. Read the release notes and select components matching your platform. The source ZIP from the Code menu is a source-code archive, not an installation package.
Does it work on Windows, Linux, or macOS?
The project describes Windows and Linux as targets. Current main-branch usage documentation also describes x86-64 Mach-O output for macOS. Building the conversion tool, generating a target format, and running a particular game are separate capabilities. Check your exact build’s documentation and title-specific test evidence; a target format alone does not establish playability.
Which games have documented compatibility?
At our October 10, 2026 check, the upstream table listed Dreaming Sarah (PPSA02929) as “In game, playable” on Windows, with Linux marked “?”. This does not establish the status of other games. A game’s name in a discussion is not a confirmed result.
Does successful conversion mean a game will run?
No. The converted program still needs matching host libraries, application resources, and supported system and graphics behavior. The project status explains that unsupported or unexpected states stop execution with an error.
Where should I look when something fails?
Start with the first error and the runtime layout instructions. Check the input format, module locations, and matching host libraries. For a source build, read the build guide. Search existing upstream issues with your exact error, OS, and build information.
